Upcoming Event:
We are looking forward to our ExAcT Teaching Lunch on January 18, 2023 with Lena Schulte M. A. from the Center for Teaching and Learning Services, department Learning Platform Management with a presentation on accessibility in RWTHmoodle.
RWTHmoodle is an essential part of teaching at RWTH. For many lectures, RWTHmoodle learning spaces are used to supplement existing face-to-face lectures to make teaching interactive and to adapt learning to the students' requirements in terms of time. Accordingly, it is important to make the learning spaces findable, accessible, and usable without difficulty for students with disabilities or chronic illness.
RWTHmoodle follows current accessibility standards to maximize inclusion and education for all users. However, due to the individual design of the learning spaces, much of the responsibility for making the learning spaces accessible lies in the hands of the teachers and students.
To do this, you need to know what accessibility actually means, which groups of people particularly benefit from it, and what special needs there are to consider accordingly. Many even small changes can already significantly improve usability for students with disabilities or chronic illness.
In our presentation, you will learn what these are and what exactly you can do to make your teaching more accessible. To the registration
